Im probably repeating this first bit for the umpteenth time but yet again we have the good name of Newcastle United dragged through the mud.
Another off-field 'episode' has left a nasty taste in the mouth and alienated the fans from the owners of the club. I'm also guessing that from the moment that this 'leaked' rant by Derek Llambias came out, that other clubs will look upon the club in a different light as we'll probably have a much harder time when it comes to player negotiations.
A rant that i may add that Ive not heard personally but due to the nature of no denial or admittance to being there in the first place by the club speaks volumes to me.
I'm not going to repeat what was said in the above mentioned dialogue but it's the nature in which it was done as well as a very long list of misdemeanors which threaten the honest path on which a club has the best chance it can to succeed. Mike Ashley has taken a lot of flak from Newcastle fans and rightly so but you can't help feel that he isn't helped in his case by his bumbling chairman as in this past week alone, it highlights the complete lack of knowledge, brains and commitment he has to making this club a complete success. The stadium name change being on a par with saying that the fans don't know how horrible they can be. Why would someone say that? Why buy a club and be nasty? Surely, getting everyone onside, continuing the traditions and history as well as making some good P.R. skills will be better for everyone.
I call on Mike Ashley to do the honourable thing and put a clearly stressed man out of his misery before he ruins anything more. Sweeping this under the carpet will do more damage than you could ever imagine.
