'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Toon Player: 'Don't Blame Me!'

Laurent Robert is back on his soapbox, claiming every man and his dog has it in for him. Infamy, infamy ... they've all got it 'in fer me'!

Pompey sacked manager Alain Perrin on Thursday, after Robert had been dropped from the squad for Saturday's game against Chelsea, but caretaker boss Joe Jordan did not hand the French winger a reprieve on Saturday.

Robert, who is currently on loan at Fratton Park from Newcastle United, has also accused Pompey chairman Milan Mandaric of having an influence on his omission from the squad and does not believe he should carry the can for the club's woes.

Robert: 'I do not know why I was not in the squad. You will have to ask chairman Mandaric. I am not injured and I have been training with the first team all week. Then on Friday, caretaker boss Joe Jordan tells me I am not playing and I had to train with three kids. I am very angry and upset.

'It seems that when we play badly or lose it is my fault. I have been made a scapegoat because we have not been winning enough games. There are people at this club who are trying to get me out.'

Let's be honest ... does anyone listen to him?
