Newcastle Fans Interviews On Vital Villa

Newcastle Fans Interviews On Vital Villa

Our interviews on Vital Villa:

1) So how is the early season shaping up for you folks?

Better than expected but we aren't playing well really, good defense but starting to look predictable up front, or should I say weak...

2) Seems a massive shift in football now, if you don`t have obscene Man City type money, or debt, you are doomed. How frustrated are Newcastle fans and what is the situation with Mike Ashley, stuck with him or is he still trying to sell? Any fans of him left at Newcastle?

Frustrated with no forwards coming in, and suspect of how hard the club tried, as with the sale of Carroll, too late to replace according to the club, transfer deadline day, we were too late to tie the deals up - in other words, our piggy bank is closed until we feel like were rich enough to either sell for profit or basically, that's it...the plan is to get lower wage players and thus lack quality, although I do like the look of Obertan.

3) Alan Pardew. Didn`t seem to get a heroes reception, how have the fans taken to him and do you think he`ll be around a while?

Pardew seemed carefree against QPR, maybe he's resigned to the fact that he's nothing but a puppet and has no major say when it comes to ins and outs, basically he gets paid pick a team from the players put in front of him!

4) What is the height of Newcastle`s realistic hopes this season?

top half would be nice, reckon 13th though, If you talk about what I want, we could be here a long time, league position is not everything when NUFC is mentioned, backroom needs sorting and and I would love to see Ashley to a personal q and a

5) What do you think of Villa and what is your opinion of Alex McLeish?

Is he not at Birmingham like?

{lol JF}

6) If you could have two of our players, who would they be and why?

Bent but he is tainted by his stint with the dark place down the road

7 - what happened to 7, is this a dig for us losing Barton, pah!!

{counting never was my strong point! JF}

8) Which Newcastle player should Villa be afraid of?

Tiote, solid in midfield and I have a feeling your about to see a bit of Obertans promise, the lads very quick and seems like he can whip a could ball in, Bestys on his game so could be awkward for u, then keep an eye out for young Sammy, nothing like his brother

9) Where do you think Villa will finish this season (like you care?)

near is but obviously at least one place below...

10) Where do you think Newcastle will finish (like we care!!!!)

top half, at least a point above you

11) Joey Barton... surprised at his exit? Happy, sad or ambivalent?

Not surprised, annoyed at the way it went and believe he has some truths that will out one day, did well for us and I genuinely wish the lad well. He is the victim of a regime that knee jerk to things, and as I say, Pardew wanted him to stay, Barton also wanted to stay, fat hitler cockney bloke didn't

12) Match prediction please.

score draw, not really looked at how you're playing but think both teams will notch

With thanks to Ken

**************

1) So how is the early season shaping up for you folks?

Looking good so far. our strikers are on fire, well one of them is anyway. Leon Best is yet to complete 90 minutes in a Premier League game and has 2 goals already. We also have another one. Your lot should have the fear of god put up you after our magnificent 3 goals in 4 games. Alan Pardew is certainly a revelation. This is the 3rd time he has been in the top 4 at this stage of the season, being sacked before Christmas the last time he was there.

2) Seems a massive shift in football now, if you don`t have obscene Man City type money, or debt, you are doomed. How frustrated are Newcastle fans and what is the situation with Mike Ashley, stuck with him or is he still trying to sell? Any fans of him left at Newcastle?

Frustrated doesn't describe how most of us feel.

The country knows that we got £35m for Carroll and our net spend this summer was around £1m. If he can get the club making £50m profit per year by being a feeder club, there seems little doubt that he will hold on for a little while. He does still have one fan in Newcastle though. It's the one that sits on his desk blowing cold air.

3) Alan Pardew. Didn`t seem to get a heroes reception, how have the fans taken to him and do you think he`ll be around a while?

Unfortunately, any manager who has been popular has been dispensed with quickly under Ashley.

Keegan was forced out according to a tribunal, Shearer is of course a local hero and after apparently shaking hands on a contract was never given one to sign, Hughton had a remarkable record in having the best defensive season ever, the first to get promotion at the first attempt and a record win over our local rivals after stuffing your lot 6-0. On the basis that popular managers get sacked, we love Pardew to bits and of course he will be the next Messiah if he is given long enough.

4) What is the height of Newcastle`s realistic hopes this season?

Sammy Ameobi and Haris Vuckic are both 6ft 3ins

5) What do you think of Villa and what is your opinion of Alex McLeish?

Villa has almost always been a good match but the relationship was soured at your place with the reaction of some muppets to our relegation. 6-0 was a fair reply. As for McLeish, we can understand why some of your supporters might be upset by his appointment but at least we won't be getting Steve Bruce.

6) If you could have two of our players, who would they be and why?

Darren Bent - we need a striker. Stephen Warnock - we need cover at left back. Is there anyone else worth having? Are you giving them away?

7) Which Newcastle player should Villa be afraid of?

Shola Ameobi. If he gets a shot in, your supporters in the corner will have to run for cover.

8) Where do you think Villa will finish this season (like you care?)

Lower mid table

9) Where do you think Newcastle will finish (like we care!!!!)

Depends who Ashley brings in after Pardew gets his routine Christmas sacking.

10) Joey Barton... surprised at his exit? Happy, sad or ambivalent?

Not surprised. We predicted his sale after Hughton was sacked, as we did with Nolan, Carroll and Enrique. Joey tried for the club and after his trials and tribulations became a role model for any troubled youngster who wants to get back on the rails. Generally sad that after helping him through his troubles QPR will get the benefit but that is by no means a unanimous view.

11) Match prediction please.

Draw, probably the 4th ever 0-0 between these clubs at your place.

JF: All the best for the rest of the season folks.

Rexn: All the best to you too, apart from this weekend.
