NUFC.... It's in the blood.
So, we are at the gates of a brand new premier league season but which level are we aiming for this year?
Surely our main target is survival and in the quickest time possible before then embarking on setting new targets with our main ambition being top 10 or even top 8.
We are fresh off an emotion sapping pre-season with this year's in particular testing Geordie nerves to record lengths. The new season can't come quick enough to get our mind back on the game.
Concentrating on the game itself shows us to be weak in many areas, especially left back and up front but we have to hope that these positions will be filled in the remaining 2 and a bit weeks or else we could be struggling badly this year.
That said, no matter what has gone on and no matter how much anger we have for certain people in charge of our club, we have to focus on the team and give them 100% backing as without this club, most of us would be stuck being dragged around the shops on a weekend or be stuck in some nut house, depressed to the hilt.
So, while Newcastle United should come with a Government health warning, it's our problem and one that we wouldn't want with any other club as it's in the blood. However much anyone complains of the hurt, anger or otherwise. It's because they care. Howay the toon...
