We Newcastle United fans aren't really a demanding or unforgiving bunch but we do expect an honest approach to the day to day running of our football club and events over the past 3 years or so has tested us to say the least.
Not wanting to go into politics or slag off individuals, it seems as if we have daily ramblings intended to test our patience by the many instances of 'talking the talk' with not so much 'walking the walk'..
We aren't stupid, so why is the club acting like we are? Many stories or quotes from management about targets in the transfer market which are then played down, mention of targets being made in January but back to the drawing board in June. Talk of not being able to compete with other clubs is not what we want to hear, especially with the 3rd highest gate in English football with the potential to be up near the top, if stadium or the right circumstance allowed this.
We know what we need and how much money we have.. We've got the £35 million from the AC deal in the bank plus what we would have invested anyway, so money shouldn't be a problem on the right player..
We know we need 2 quality stikers, a left back, a central defender and a right winger. We've known this for a while, so it should just be a case of speaking to targets as they should have been identified... We need a boost of some sort as the majority of us are wary of the money being pocketed again and certain players are unimpressed by the lack of ambition also.
We have the nucleus of a very good side and the right 3 or 4 additions could get us that European spot that could propel the likes of Mike Ashley's business into the Euro spotlight.. So the ball is in NUFC's court, we've been patient for too long here, so depending on our transfer business will go a long way in determining our actual aims for the future with more fan unrest being a possibility if left dissatisfied.
So howay the toon, it's up to you as the fans expect.....
