'If It's Football, It's Vital'

NUFC Sold??

Mike Ashley has sold Newcastle United for a figure believed to be over £250 million....

Before, we get ahead of ourselves and check every news site on the internet for confirmation, the sentence is made up, although if rumour is to be believed, this summer is the climax of Mr Ashley's time in Toon.. with yet another bit of inside info reaching us here at Talk of the Tyne of an impending sale within the next fortnight..

Ashley's time at the club has been controversial to say the least and if anything he has stabilized the finances here but very little else in my opinion. His presence as owner here has split fans down the middle with a lot making their feelings known in a way of boycotting the ground or anything else that he owns or runs. Decisions have been amateurish or laughable at times and the end cannot come quick enough for a lot of people.. Hopefully this is soon with the countdown beginning now to his demise.

The signs are there with little bits of media attention now and then, including a Sunday Mirror exclusive quite recent. The usual names are mentioned with Anil Ambani the frontrunner.... We wait with baited breath........

We are no mugs on this forum and take every bit of gossip with a pinch of salt and we have brought the football world many exclusives, including the famous 'Ben Arfa in Newcastle' story which every media outlet used as their cast off story plus many more. So watch this space for further developments courtesy of our dedicated contributors with their eyes and ears on the ground..

oin us at Talk of the Tyne for serious NUFC chat and some lighthearted stuff but most of all the passionate support of the club we love.

In answer to the question, yes, down the river by successive Chairmen and owners.

As I have said many times before this club could and should have been a top four ever present during the past twenty or so years if SJH's plan had been followed by men with ingenuity, intelligence and a passion for the club. Unfortunately we got parasitic, greedy grabbing bastads who thought more about their own bank balance than the success of the club. All we need is an honest, straightforward footballing man at the helm who will bring in the right people to do a job. Err no thats not you Mr Pardwho !!!!!!

Be fair Mac, Pardew has won a trophy as a manager. It was the Johnstone's Magnolia Paint Pot at Southampton.
