'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Watch out Brum!

'Watch out Birmingham' is the message relayed by our very own Danny Simpson this morning..

Watch out for what? you may ask as we've been blowing more hot and cold than a cheap hairdryer..

That said, maybe the one thing that Alan Pardew has brought to the club is a realism of where our most obvious results are gonna come, with home being the most likely place for them, whilst under Chris Hughton we managed a few good away performances including wins at Everton and Arsenal. The home form could have been turned round.

Anyway, back to Simpson and wanting to put to bed a bad performance against the red scouse,he had this to say about the fixture against the blues.

We`ve got Birmingham left at home and with our fans and our results at home, we`ve got to look forward to performing.

"The last few home games have been all right but we`ve got two more to go and they are winnable. I`m sure our fans expect us to win them.

"We beat Birmingham 2-0 at their place (in February) so they`ll remember that and they`ll be looking to finish as high as they can as well.

"But we`re at home with our fans and I`m sure they`ll be flying.

"When we`re at home and we get St James` screaming it`s normally like that for us.'

You're right about the realism about where results are likely to come. Our last 4 wins have been against teams at the bottom. A second home win in 4 months would be welcome.

I hope so....
