No More Injury-Plagued Players!

Ex-Newcastle defender Jonathan Woodgate insists he is determined to prove to new Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello that he worth keeping, despite only making nine league starts for Real Madrid since his massive £13.5m transfer from Newcastle.

And from what we can gather, Glenn Roeder is happy with that. Because he has plenty of problems with injuries without adding another player to the list of long-term casualties.

Chairman Freddy Shepherd, a big fan of the England international, always said the door would be open to him. But even Shepherd knows how much of a risk Woodgate has become.

You have to be kidding, getting all that dosh for him was a great piece of business to even consider buying him back is ludicrous, when fit he was over priced and over rated, I would think Real would be lucky to get 2m for him and never back in England.

All that has been mooted so far was a pay-as-you-play contract, which wouldn't be such a risk. Shame we can't get Dyer on to a similar sort of contract...
