Norwich Back Beckham Deal

Newcastle visit Norwich's Carrow Road on Wednesday, July 26, for Craig Fleming's testimonial match and the Canaries' club captain is crossing his fingers David Beckham signs for the Magpies.

Fleming: "It would be fantastic if they could get him, especially after Michael Owen getting injured and Alan Shearer retiring.

"I've been hoping they were going to sign somebody big before the game. Newcastle have been linked with some big names and they don't come any bigger than David Beckham."

City have only sold 5,000 tickets for Fleming's testimonial, and the Norwich player is desperate to see United take some big names to Carrow Road to boost attendances.

Prices are £15 for adults and £10 for concessions (senior citizens, students and under-16s) in Jarrold Stand centre seating and the City Stand lounges. All other seating is £12 for adults, £7 (senior citizens, students and under 16s) and £3 for under-12s.

specualtion of beckham signing for you. i hope he does! bring him back to england, it would be good to see him back here. good luck in signing him!!
wallis
yep I agree would be a great signing, but for my club to use newspaper rumour to boost gate sales was a little underhanded, when they critize fans sites for using rumours..
jimmybone
I think he will see out his career in sunny Spain!
woddywoo
well, i hope he doesn't, he could really help you and if he comes back over here, i think it would make him better!
wallis
Thats the stand out reason for Beckham to sign, forget about the 25m offer/extension from Real once he knows about the friendly he will sign for Newcastle.
TeddyLyon
Ach, this story is nonsense, shouldn't be spreading it around. It's silly season for rumours.
