Chopra Pleads For A Chance.

Chopra Pleads For A Chance.

21 year old Michael Chopra is also asking for a first team chance amid rumours Newcastle are looking for another quality striker to partner Owen and replace Shearer when he retires at the end of the season.

Chopra was on loan to Barnsley last season and scored 17 goals for them. In reward he got a one year contract extension at Newcastle but has still failed to break into the team:

He said 'It's hard for me because it doesn't seem like I've ever been given a chance at this club with any manager,' he said. 'All I've got to do is just keep working hard and hopefully one day they'll give me my chance. I need to be playing football at this stage of my career.'
