All you toon fans should go to bed a happy bunch, 35m is a steal for carroll he has had a good half a season and proved nothing yet. There are far better strikers for the fee being offered out their. The bent deal seemed expensive but he has got a goal record to go with his price tag and carroll has not so dont worry toon fans.

Absolutely agree. Carroll could go on to score 3 more goals this season, to take his tally to 14 - and already £35m looks too much. Then next season he takes 4 or 5 games to settle into things, the fans would kill him. At £35m he'd have to be second best in Premier League history to justify the price tag. Simply I think he's a battering ram without the greatest brain or technical ability - good player but nowhere near that good.
