Deano Looks For Newcastle Surge

Dean Saunders is looking to Newcastle to push their way up the premiership table as their big names players start to make their way back from injuries. The coaching staff are hoping the International break will have given players like Emre, Kieron Dyer and Solano to get closer to fitness.

Deano told the official site 'We are hoping it has given the injured lads another two weeks towards getting fit, while it's also given others the chance of a breather and to recharge the batteries...We have got a run of games coming up where we feel we can get some good results, but we really do need to get all our best players on the pitch. In our last game at Portsmouth, we were missing six big players - not young lads, but players who would all be getting into the team.'

The former Liverpool and Villa player, who recently made a sparkling cameo in Sky Ones 'The Match' before pulling a hamstring - much to the amusement of Lord Shearer, continued:

'The luck we have had with injuries has been unbelievable. I've never known anything like it, it's been really frustrating. But we know that when we have got everybody fit, we have got a team that will give anybody a game and will be very hard to beat. We know that two victories can push you right up the table and that is what we are looking for.'
