Pardew Confirmed

Pardew told NUFC.co.uk,

'honoured and privileged' after being appointed as Newcastle United's new manager'

I personally, am disgusted and call for the mass walk out that has been rumoured.

Pardew has accepted a five and a half year contract, yes you read it correct, 5!!

OMG 5 years????? Why???? Don't think he'll be nearly as good as Hughton was anyway!! And what's going to happen if he needs sacking after 12 months? Can Ashley afford to pay off his other 4 years? Totally unecessary, and, as usual, everyone but Fat Ash can see it!

Insane. If I thought he was up to it, then maybe I don't think he is. he's a step DOWN from Chris Hughton. Giove him a chance ? You have to. But he couldn't be more unwelcome and unpopular. I can't see how he's going to win over the players. I suspect there'll be quite a number going out the door starting with Barton and Nolan. I'm not so sure about Carroll though. I think some of the young kids will find themselves in the team like Tamas Kadar for one.

5 and a half year deal??!! I bet he won't see out the first year....

haha, he would have took a 6 month contract i bet. still, typical newcastle, getting behind your manager as per usual.

When fat Ash has got through 5 managers in just 3 years, what the hell makes him think that he'll want Pardew for the next 5 1/2???
The Horses Mouth
Is Ashley actually trying to wreck your club? Two suicidal decisions in one week, just when Chris Hughton had done a great job in steadying the team. Shocking treatment for a promising manager who not only brought NUFC back up with flying colours but was doing alright so far this season, with some stunning results thrown in there- one of which was at the expense of my club Arsenal! That was bad enough but this appointment of Alan Pardew???? The man has been sacked time and time again. Hughton was better than HIM, IMO. I sure do feel sorry for you guys. I'd be out protesting if this my club.
