Protests and Rationale

I note that I've received various emails about protests, BBM has mentioned the walkout etc, but I have to state something from experience of organising a protest in the past.

1 - The circling of St James will be frowned upon by Northumbria Police, even if they have been approached with regards to a protest (the police do require notification otherwise they will do their utmost to stop it regardless) They will cite public safety reasons as it is public access all round the ground, others that are not involved in the protest will be used as a reason to break the thing up - trust me this is fact.

2 - The walk out, needs to be en mass at a set time, fucking whistles going off after 10 minutes and signalling the whole ground to fuck off out. Maximum coverage from SKY as the noise of shitloads of whistles will be heard on TV and commentators will pick up on it quickly.

3 - Do not even question any police on the day, I got hoyed all owa at one point last time and all I was doing was me best Barlow impression.

I put it to you that number 2 is a most devastating option, and with the help of others is realistic, the walk round? Sorry but for me its risky and will lack exposure, its a fuckiung long way round the ground for a start.

I think a combined effort with number 2 in mind is the way forward but we need all websites together and fan's etc...

If interested lets get it together.

Number 2 has always been my preferred option. Maximum exposure is from kick off until the final whistle.

I agree, but there needs to be a common signal amongst the fans so that everyone leaves at the same time, can you imagine loads of whistles going off and a mass exodus? TV will love it and Ashley will look a complete ****!
