Hughton Gone!

Hughton Gone!

he board would like to place on record their thanks to Chris for his considerable efforts during the club's transition from Championship to Premier League football. Chris has shown exceptional character and commitment since being appointed manager in October 2009.

The club wishes him well for the future.

egrettably the board now feels that an individual with more managerial experience is needed to take the club forward.

The task of appointing a new manager now begins. An announcement will be made shortly regarding transitional arrangements pending the appointment of a successor.

Im in agreement, not about Fat Sam, but its an odd decision, I am aware that contract talks were about to start, maybe they were never going to go ahead, Ashley yet again parks his ******** tank.

Arsenal fan here - What a disgraceful way to treat the man you got Newcastle back into the big time. It wouldn't be so bad if you were sat in the relegation zone having only won a couple of games, but you're 11th in the table. Who does Ashley think he's going to get in at this time of year who could do any better? The guy is a moron.

Rocky, it seems something is in the pipeline, but, that wont justify the treatment of Hughton by Ashley, the mans a parasite.

Disgraceful treatment of Hughton. Whether he's the long-term solution or not, he's done well enough to deserve better treatment than this. Can't believe Ashley is willing to risk a player rebellion at this critical stage.

This stinks of when we got rid of Martin Jol. The board clearly have an agenda and I would put my mortgage on them already having the new guy lined up. Will he do better than Our Chrissy, I seriously doubt it. Mediocre players, in a mediocre squad playing surprisingly good football and getting some really good results...that has to be down to the manager. Mike Ashley must think he's the president of Real Madrid or someone...self obsessed, small minded, fame hungry, fat basterd!!

Not sure Ashley realises Hughton has become a part of Newcastle. He (Ashley) has really shot himself in the foot with this one. Brilliant manager who deserved better.

Agreed Ken - I understand that football is all about results, but there has to be some respect some where along the lines. CH did a great job for you guys (it's not like you smash you fiercest rivals 5-1 then beat one of the top 4 teams away every week is it?). Ashley needs to understand that Newcastle haven't just become a top team again simply because they're back in the PL, you have to work on survival first, and CH was doing that very well. What he's doing now is very risky and stinks of arrogance and disrespect. The sooner you get rid of the fat tosser the better.

this actually makes your club an absolute joke. its worse than when city got rid of sven when they finished in 9th even though the target for the season was 10th!

Typical of football now - no loyalty - even for a man who held a creaking club together last season and got you straight back up. Even this season showing some good signs - disgrace of the game.
