Owen Out Until November!

Owen Out Until November!

I think we all feared the worst when Michael Owen hit the ground after just one minute of action for England in their World Cup match against Sweden.

And sure enough that fall has finally killed off his England dream.

The scan shows the Toon striker will out of action for up to five months after he suffered cruciate ligament damage.

Owen flew back to the team hotel in Baden-Baden before going for an MRI scan this morning at the Max Grundig hospital at Buhlertal.

SKY TV were first with the news ... it is serious ligament damage which will see him miss the World Cup AND the first half of the new season.

I've had that same injury playing football and also skiing. I think November is a very very caucious estimation. Obviously at a different level, I however, was able to play again 6 to 8 weeks after the injury. Still feeling the injury for another 6 - 8 weeks but only background.
