Souness Snub

Souness Snub

Crystal Palace are to name Peter Taylor as their next manager after the favourite, Graeme Souness, fell out of the running.

Taylor has already held extensive talks with Palace chairman Simon Jordan after being given permission to discuss a possible switch by his current employers, Hull City. Taylor is widely considered to be one of Palace's greatest players following a successful stint at the club in the 1970s.

Souness was set to return to football having turned down a couple of interesting positions after being sacked by Newcastle, including the Hearts job. But Palace have turned to their old boy Peter Taylor instead.

Mick McCarthy, who left Sunderland this year, is favourite to succeed Taylor at Hull.

Souness is a truly awful manager. How can you describe him as good??

Because mdjw, he describes almost everyone on every site as good. Personally, i don't think he'll ever get back as a manager. Sounes, has absolutely no idea what man mangement means.
