Hartson For West Brom

Good news for Toon fans - the Fat One - Welsh striker John Hartson will join Championship club West Bromwich Albion in the next couple of days ... and NOT (as the Sunday Post suggested) Newcastle United!

The 31-year-old Hartson will not sign on a 12-month contract at St James' Park, as reports from Scotland caused major concern on Tyneside.

A lot of questions were asked of Glenn Roeder when the story broke, suggesting (as many have feared) that he could struggle to attract the big names to the club. But replacing Alan Shearer with John Hartson was simply unthinkable!

Not a good move for West brom IMO. The man was finished 2 years ago. He'd old and slow.
