Is Terry Mac Set For The Elbow?

Is Terry Mac Set For The Elbow?

Newcastle 'buffer' Terry McDermott will continue to work with the United first team, but will also be expected to chip in with scouting duties. Suggesting Kevin Bond is set to take over his duties.

McDermott: 'That isn't a problem. It's something I did with both Kevin Keegan and Kenny Dalglish and something I really enjoy.

'I love being a part of this football club and I think I am going to enjoy it even more next season because there are so many of us with a real feel for Newcastle United.

'Don't forget it was 1972 when I first came here and, apart from one brief spell back in Liverpool, I have been here ever since.

'Glenn's the same and he is a former captain and everybody knows just how much Lee Clark loves the club and this can only be of great benefit to us. Glenn knows that he is working with people he can trust and, with Alan Shearer also welcome to pop in as much as he wants, we feel that we have a good backroom team here.'
