Souness Story Broke 3 Weeks Ago

Newspaper reports suggest Crystal Palace chairman Simon Johnson met Graeme Souness in Marbella last night to discuss the prospect of the former United boss taking over at Selhurst Park.

Suddenly everyone is picking up on a story our mates at www.TalkOfTheTyne.net ran almost THREE WEEKS ago!

TALK OF THE TYNE.NET ARTICLE THIS MORNING:-

On this very site we said that Souness was lined up for the Palace job BEFORE Ian Dowie walked out.

This is the article we published weeks ago:-

SOUNESS FOR PALACE?

As club chairman hog the limelight these days, is there a bigger poser than Crystal Palace's Simon Jordan?

Well the man with the orange sun-tan and the golden wallet is about to drop the 'Clanger of all Clangers', lining up Graeme Souness as his next manager!

According to The Mirror, Iain Dowie will be out of the door at Selhurst by the end of next week.

Jordan wants his next appointment to be able to lift Palace back up into the Premiership and believes former Liverpool and Newcastle boss Souness has the necessary pedigree and experience.

But Jordan was hit a blow because there were indications late last night that Dowie would be talking to bitter rivals Charlton within the next 48 hours!

lolol chaps. Can you see those two immovable mountains (Jordan & Souness) actually getting on with each other? IMHO, it's a recipe for fall outs galore.
