Big Clubs Freeze Out Toon

Glenn Roeder can forget his bid to lure Chelsea's Eidur Gudjohnsen to St James' Park. It seems the big boys are set to fight it out to sign him.

Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all chasing the striker, and that is tough competition.

The Icelandic striker's Stamford Bridge future looks bleak after the Blues strengthened their title-winning squad by signing Andriy Shevchenko and Salomon Kalou.

And now he looks to be heading for a summer exit, with one of Europe's biggest clubs almost certainly the destination.

you've got to be kidding, theres no chance of eidur going to newcastle, why don't you try n use boumsong in a part exchange for a striker lol I heard teddy sheringham's thinking of going on for another 5 years lol what an investment that would be ;)
