Toon Look To Van Aanholt
The Journal have reported that Chris Hughn is eyeing up a deal to bring Chelsea's Patrick Van Aanholt back to Tyneside on a permanent deal...
Van Aanholt impressed during his loan spell last season and would essentially provide cover at full back for Jose Enrique, although, Van Aanholt could end up pushing for first team football.
Patrick enjoyed his month long loan spell at Newcastle and when asked at the time would he consider a return to Newcastle, he was quoted as saying 'never say never' an age old saying I know, but I do believe that if Chelsea see fit, he would be willing to return - the chances of Chelsea letting the kid go are'nt so good, he's been making a name for himself in their reserve team so let's not pin our hopes on the deal going through.
