Hodgson Targets Taylor

Taylor has been at the centre of of a move away from St James' Park for over 18 months, and it would seem that a move to Liverpool would satisfy the players desire for success.

Close friends of Taylor have suggested that the player is unhappy at Newcastles lack of ambition, and with many senior players taking the side of Andy Carroll over their recent bust up, it would seem that a move to Liverpool is also a way out.

Whilst Taylor is a good player, his attitude has been questioned many times, right now I feel we should try and hold onto him, but the lure of a big money move to Liverpool is likely too much to refuse.

If it happens, let's not get too disappointed, remember, we got promoted last term and Taylor missed best part of the season, basically, we can do without!

Always felt that Steve Taylor could do so much more. Hodgson will get the best out of him I have no doubt. But losing a young English player, when i'm sure in the wake of Germany's superb young lads, and our overpaid foreigners being seen as blocking young English lads and hence the national side's pathetic performance, I'd say there will be a MINIMUM number of home grown players required in a prem side - maybe not this season, but it WILL come. So getting rid of Taylor isn't a good move long term.

Dont worry they haven't got the cash unless they sell Torres.

Surely he is worth more than that. Maybe you could take one of theirs as a part-exchange.
