Loan Deal For Cleverley

Tom Cleverley is set to sign a new 3 year deal with Man Utd today, but it looks as though he will be on his way to NUFC in what would be a good loan deal.

The Manchester Evening News suggest that we are favourites to secure the 20 yr old midfielders services.

Alex Ferguson is famed for signing and keeping good young players, and also releasing them when he doesn't think they'll make the grade, awarding Cleverley a 3 year deal would allow us to assume that the Under 21 international is a one for the future.

Would be a great signing even on loan.

Whose place would he take, can't see him getting much game time,Fergie won't like that.
Sir Laz
He's hungry and eager to prove himself, just what we need.

I would hope that smith/nolan would not play so much together this season. We need legs in midfield as we're too pedestrian there, Plus it's a long season and there are bound to be injuries. The kid is a great little player, impressed when he played against us at SJP last season.
