Who The F**K are Chelsea?

Watching some of the TV coverage and interviews of fans, I would like to ask the question, why we want to play Chelsea in our first game back in the Premier League?

Is it not crazy for us NUFC fans to be hanging on to the fact that we could once compete with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd, albeit, occasionally?

I would settle for a home game against Blackpool if honest, or Wigan, I mean, they're shite aren't they?!

Sky Sports have interviewed our fans (again) and yes, they might have got the only fans that had managed to cram 10 pints in before teatime, or the kids that had 'teacher training' but, for the love of god, why the hell do we want to return to the Premier League against Chelsea? The answer, according to one young gent;

'A win against Chelsea first game, will see us set up nicely..' I turned it off about then!

We will be riding on the crest of promotion for sure, but a win against Chelsea, home or away is..ambitious, to be fair, it would be a miracle.

No, on the flip side, we could get a tonking and see our heads knocked in for the season, it happens you know.

As I rant away, I just wonder what Chelsea fans must be thinking about their first game, I bet they fancy playing us too...

As a delusional mag, I obviously see us finishing in Europe, hell, a top three finish isn't out of site...is it? I'm a realist, I'd take 6th now!!!

I will not be surprised if you would go back to where you belong to at the end season.
Ali54
We belong? Are you one of those best fans in the world then? You know everything...It wouldn't surprise me either, but as I don't know who you support, I have no return for you... As far as I'm concerned, we are where we are now on merit, maybe we hung on a bit last time round...but, what if we beat you, are you really that confident?
ken_nufc
6th and you're a realist? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHA

As a delusional mag....6th, realism....s*******s!
ken_nufc
The headline doesn't please me Toons. I would like you to finish in Top 10.
ACLamp
Sorry AC, got your attention though, and if it makes up for it, I wanted Chelsea to win the title as opposed to Man Utd.

6th - you on magic mushrooms pal!
merlin
No bud, at least 10th no? :D

Arguments, debates and taking oppoite views are good for bloging here but there should be no use of bad and abusive language. Just try to be nice and considerate to others too when expressing your own view. Please don't take it personally. I'm expressing my view in general term.

Hhaha the deluded Geordies are back. No money to spend, your best players *and i use the word best lightly* are all looking to move to bigger clubs like Stoke and Birmingham. You will be lucky to avoid relegation....I hope you stay up as it will be 6 easy points for Sunderland every season. Your back in the big league but your whole club mentality has changed and you will never get back to the glory years. Sunderland are miles ahead of you in terms of manager, squad, finances and realism mate! hahaha
GazJohnson
The 500-mile-round trip to the Toon is back on and, I have to admit, is much more preferable than a visit to the hell-hole that is Turf Moor! As for 'who the ***** are Chelsea' -- we're the Double-winning Champions -- Carefree!
daspecial1
Indeed special1, you are and well done on that. Gaz, don't be so bitter, you had your season as the big lads, we're back now, pressures off you.
ken_nufc
I've already unsheathed my cyber sword ready to slash your black and white stripes when i saw the headline but don't worry you safe now anyway i have a feeling that there's a bit of mutual respect btw us i wish you guys the best next season. It's nice to have friends.

Oops!

chelsea deserved to win the title hands down, best team all season especially when they slaughtered the mackems! In realistice terms i hope we finished above 13-14th if we do I would see that as a good 1st year back in the big time
nu-switz-fc
Never like to play a promoted side first game, because they are on a high. Seen it enough times with Chelsea and other teams who have just been promoted.
god1zola25
if u get chelsea u could get hammered.
MrDax
As a Chelsea fan, the reason why you want to play us first game is that win or lose thats Chelsea out the way and your rivals around you will still have to play us twice. And tbh, the first weekend's results matter very little in terms of the overall picture, if you get us out the way then when you and your rivals are scrapping for points for survival say then you don't have the worry of having to pull a result out.. plus first game of the season we are hardly at our best.. We played newly promoted Wigan and won 1-0 with a last minute screamer and Birminham kept us to a 3-2 at home, Hull last season pushed us to a 2-1 with another last minute screamer. Chelsea are unlikely to be at our best on the opening weekend and it would probably be best to get us out the way before we hit top gear.
Seanytrueblue
I think we could get hammered, but we could also get a draw, it would be a tough game and I would much prefer a lesser team, I think the point the Sky interviewees* were making was that they were looking forward to seeing the likes of Drogba as opposed to the likes of Chopra.
ken_nufc
Got to say I'm well chuffed you lot are back in the EPL. You always give us a good game at your place, and its my favourite away trip. Your fans are a laught oo, and its always a good game at the Bridge. I hate almost everybody, but have got a lot of time for Newcastle, and ive got my fingers crossed you stay up this season. Good luck barcodes - good to have you back.
OLASAL
Cheers OLASAL, likewise always a good day out when you lads are in town.
