Hughton Denies Transfer Rumours

Hughton Denies Transfer Rumours

Over the last two seasons, both Bullard and Campbell have been linked with a move to St James' Park, Campbell in particular was rumoured to be close to a move last season until Arsenal decided to give him a Premier League lifeline.

Quite why Campbells name is being touted again is a mystery to us although, as always, transfer windows mean rumour mill madness round these parts.

Bullard, in my opinion would be a good signing, although, he has been blighted with injuries over the last couple of seasons.

Andy O'Brien, please, no thanks, we've been there and done it...

Hughton is on a tight budget as we all know, and speaking to the Evening Chronicle, the Newcastle manager said;

'There's been talk about Sol Campbell and Andy O'Brien in the past and there are always names that keep coming up, but we've not looked into signing those players.

'And Jimmy Bullard is another player that has not been mentioned.

'There are some players we are interested in and we're open-minded about those options.'

Here's looking to another summer of speculation and media madness!
