Taylor returns to training as celebrations beckon

Newcastle United are preparing to celebrate their Championship success at home when they host Ipswich Town, and among those sharing the joy will be forgotten man Steven Taylor, who returns to the Toon squad for the first time after his training ground bust-up with fellow Geordie Andy Carroll.

Magpies gaffer Chris Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "He will absolutely be part of the celebrations.

"We`ll see - he`s training today, but he`s been out for a long time, and I have to be mindful of that.

"He`s played a lot of games. He was in really good form, and people here aren`t underestimating what he`s given this team.

"If he`d have missed a similar amount of time at the beginning of the season, his profile would have been a little bit higher now."
