Liverpool, Arsenal target attracts Toon interest

Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Lille's 19-year-old whizzkid Eden Hazard, who is also a summer target for Premier League side Liverpool FC.

United chief scout Graham Carr is an admirer of the Belgian hitman and was impressed with his performance in the Europa League.

Hazard scored the all important goal against the Merseysiders last week, and it is understood that he is one of Europe's top youngsters at present.

The forward declared his interest in English football last summer when he publicly spoke of his desire to join Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side. The Gunners are amonst a host of clubs monitoring his situation.

Scouts from Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus are watching the player, also.

United gaffer Chris Hughton will receive backing from owner Mike Ashley if he so requires in the capture of the wonderkid, as Hazard satisfies the club's new transfer policy of youth, energy, and resale value.

Now we have got promotion, we should get a headstart on some other teams as we know we are in the Prem next year :) We are going to need more than the reported £20m transfer budget!!
