United chasing Scunthorpe midfielder O'Connor

Newcastle United are one of several clubs to be on the trail of Scunthorpe United's Northern Ireland international Michael O'Connor, reports Sky Sports.

West Ham United, and Hull City are the other clubs monitoring the talented 22-year-old midfielder's progress, and with his scintillating form this term, a move away from The Irons may be forthcoming.

United are looking at several players at present, and O'Connor is a realistic target for them, it is said.
