Newcastle unlikely to capture Arsenal's Wilshere

Newcastle United are behind several high-profile suitors in the pursuit of highly-rated Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere, it has emerged.

The Toon are not in the frontrunning for the attacking midfield star, and are unlikely to tempt either the player's agent or Arsene Wenger that Wilshere's development could be aided by a stint at St James'Park.
