Peter Lovenkrands dedicates goal to late father

Newcastle United's former Rangers striker Peter Lovenkrands, who scored the equalising goal at St James' Park against WBA on Monday, dedicated the strike to his father who passed away last week.

'It was a difficult decision to play, but one that I wanted to make for my father who was a big football fan,' Lovenkrands told Sky Sports 1.

'I'd like to dedicate that goal to him.'

The Great Dane has been in sensational form for the Magpies with four goals in his last two appearances.

we really need 1-2 creative and pacey midfielders.please so as to break thru more stubborn defence...since our striker peter is now in red hot form...this is very important and urgent..since last season...we should break the partnership of nolan and smith and guthrie...they have skills..but lack of pace and creativity..we should bring in jack whilshere..or tom cleverly..
