Strachan: Everything is going for Newcastle

Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan has reflected on last night's 2-0 loss to fellow North-East rivals Newcastle United with strong words regarding Steven Taylor, and the first goal that he thought should not have been allowed.

"Everyone agrees there was a blatant shove in the back in the build up to the goal. That is what happens when you are Newcastle and everything goes with you.

"It was a penalty too. It was a good save from Taylor. He stretched his hand and fingers out to get it. They have good experience. It is a man`s team, no doubt about that."

He then reiterated his plans to address key issues in the Boro team, who now face the harrowing task of picking themselves off of the bottom-half of the Championship table in their bid to win promotion.

"I know where the problems are. I will try and address that, whatever options I have. You watch it today and last week and you can see the problems.

"You need men to win games, that is for sure.

"I wouldn`t like to be a player at the moment, to put in that much hard work and get nothing. I know our failings and I will address that.

"We got to areas we wanted to be in, but couldn`t score goals. Our build up was good and brave at times."

If he wants to complain about Taylors handball then I suggest he also looks at their handball in the box...you****, you deserve to bottom half! Enjoy the championship next season Middlesbrough.
