Roeder Faces Facts About Europe

Roeder Faces Facts About Europe

Chelsea play Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night, in what is being billed as a grudge match, and Rovers are favourites to take that UEFA spot from the Magpies. The key day, however, was on Saturday when Blackburn's win at Charlton was a killer blow for United as they played out a goalless draw with Birmingham City. Bolton are three points behind United with a game in hand, they also have a better goal difference and two apparently easy home games this week against Middlesbrough and Birmingham City.

Roeder: 'As long as there is a 1% chance we will keep going.

'I think it is important that David Mills and myself go to Ewood Park because Chelsea are likely to have a similar team out tonight to the one which will play against us at St James' Park on Sunday.'

To be honest, i'd have thought you'd be over the moon to finish in eighth position considering where you were before Roeder stepped in. He's worked miracles there.
