'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Strikers tinkered with in January?

Despite Marlon Harewood's latest urgings it seems very much like the former Forest, West Ham and current Villa man might be sent back to the Midlands. Rumours are really starting to solidify over a move for Leeds contract rebel and top goalscorer Jermaine Beckford.

Harewood had previously intimated at wanting to stay, saying:

' knew expectations were always going to be high here and that was part of the appeal in signing for these three months. I knew there would be pressure on me and it hasn`t been easy at times, but I still back myself.

I`ve had a lot of criticism in the media. It`s their opinion and they are entitled to it. All I can do is get on with it and help the team.

That`s what I try to focus on. I try not to take much notice of what people are saying and writing about me, although obviously you are aware of it.

I`ve been in the game long enough to know that is what happens. Even the top players get it, criticism comes with the territory and I`ve just got to try and enjoy myself and enjoy my football."

However it now looks like our main focus to accompany a possible signing of Sol Campbell and Pancrate looks to be the former non-leaguer.

Beckford will not leave Leeds until the end of the season when Leeds should be in the CCC. Wolves, Blackburn, Fulham and Bolton have already been turned down with substantial offers.

Why would Beckford want to move to a smaller Club ???
