Beck in for Jermaine?

Once again, with January six weeks away, the rumour mill has returned to churn out the usual selection of truths, half-truths and pretty much outright lies. The latest rumours on a national level suggest Chris Hughton could be set to add a bit of guile to our forward line in the form of Jermaine Beckford.

The Leeds striker, who scored again in midweek in the JP Trophy for the Whites, has been a serious goal machine, albeit at a much lower level. He first drew NUFC attention when Dennis Wise, a former Leeds boss, was in situ as our Director of Football and the rumours have persisted since.
