Mixed results by the chasing pack

Mixed results by the chasing pack

It was a bit of a mixed bag for NUFC this weekend. With our game having been shifted to Monday night, it gave many of the clubs around us the chance to cut or overtake our advantage. First to have a pop were Leicester, who scored a tremendous 2-1 win down at Loftus Road v QPR on Friday night.

Following up on Saturday, West Brom promptly lashed Watford 5-0. Gordon Strachan however didn`t exactly start in the grand manner, with a 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth. Bristol City stalled in a 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate v Sheffield Wednesday whilst Preston and Blackpool both drew.

The final act sees Cardiff and Forest go tete a tete this evening down in Wales, with Cardiff able to send us down to third through a win or draw, or a Forest win would close their gap on us to one point.
