Boumsong Played His Last Game

Jean-Alain Boumsong's Newcastle United career has ended. Unless there is another injury crisis, the defender has played his last game for the Toon and will be sold in the summer - either back to Rangers or to a French club. But it is not all doom and gloom, as it seems the French international has already been assured that he will still play in the World Cup this summer.

While Boumsong has not started a game since his nighmare disaster at Charlton on March 26, The Journal reports that he has been told by French coach Raymond Domenech to make sure he is fit and prepared to travel to Germany.

Boumsong, 27, joined United in £8.5m move from Glasgow Rangers 18 months ago, but he has failed to settle. He has been capped 18 times by Les Bleus and was in pole position to start in their opening group match against Switzerland.

Reserve players Peter Ramage and Robbie Elliott have been put ahead of Boumsong in the pecking order, after Titus Bramble and Craig Moore.

I bet you're glad he is going. What an absolutely ***** player. He looked so out of depth in the Prem. Send him back to Scotland where he belongs.

Ok selling him back or on, but can you see yourselves getting more than say £2m for him?
FEn_100
