'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Harps hails Irish shindig

Despite many maligning the club`s inadequate pre-season programme, it seems like Steve Harper has laid the cause of the club`s good start to the season down to a pre-season bonding break taken to Dublin after we got massacred 6-1 off Leyton Orient. Harps said:

'It does feel like a special atmosphere in the dressing room. I think the trip to Ireland did us the world of good. It really brought us closer together as a squad, we got some really good training in and we got our heads around the situation we were in and what we could do about it. We have bonded really well and we are a strong group.'

Personally I`d put it down to the fact we probably have a team of Premier League underachievers playing in the last chance saloon, but hey!
