'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Milner Rubbish On Villa Site

According to an Aston Villa supporter's website: 'Aston Villa have struck a deal with Newcastle to bring James Milner to Villa Park on a permanent basis for £3 million.

'There aren't any direct quotes of course, nor is there anything to suggest this simply isn't paper talk because let's face it, we all know DOL likes Milner and having been one of the most consistent players this season it doesn't take much to put 2 and 2 together in paperland.

'The article in the Birmingham Post goes on to state that DOL could lose out on Milner if the club don't act quickly and snap him up. Citing the ongoing nonsense surrounding the sale of the club, they offer that the Villa board are giving the distinct impression of dragging their feet and state that a deal could've been done for the player over two months ago and further state that Milner is himself keen to sign.

'However the next few paragraphs give a somewhat contradictory feel to the story as it states that the sacking of Graeme Souness who thought Milner surplus changed the position, and that despite agreeing £3 million with the club and the player being keen to sign, the late form of Newcastle and the possibility of European football could 'muddy' the waters.'

Newcastle United will NOT sell Milner until a new manager is appointed - FACT!
