'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bonanza weekend for old boys

A busy weekend in the Premier League saw a number of our former charges involved in the wins, losses and draws that took place on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday saw James Milner help his Villa side to a comfortable 2-0 win against rock bottom Portsmouth.

On Sunday Louis Saha meanwhile netted twice for Everton as they overcame Potatoheed's Blackburn side 3-0.

Over at Stamford Bridge, Seb Bassong and Jermaine Jenas both bothered the referee, rather than the scorers, as Spuds were sunk 3-0 by Chelsea.

However the real Mag-based antics came at Old Trafford. Shay Given kept City in the game with some stunning saves and Craig Bellamy scored twice. However up popped Mercenary Michael at the end to seal a remarkable 4-3 win for the Red Mancs.
