Former Toon striker holds talks with Hammers
Former Newcastle United striker Mark Viduka is on the verge of moving to Gianfranco Zola's West Ham United, it has emerged.
Zola missed out on Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, who moved to Hull City after snubbing the Hammers, and is keen on snapping up the veteran Australian target-man who was released from Newcastle United in the summer, and is available at the moment on a free.
It is also understood that the former Leeds United man is willing to take a massive pay-cut to get his protracted move to Upton Park, and that the prospect of playing Premiership football is worth the sacrifice.
