Sunday`s rags have thrown up the usual mix of rumours, half truths and lies, many focussing on the future of Alan Shearer. Just about all sources identify that he`s the preferred manager under the Sceptic Tanks who could be taking over the club. However many think he`ll be on the MOTD couch for the rest of the season.
The Mirror goes one further, stating that Matt Le Tissier has revealed he has a get out clause in his Beeb contract, enabling him to join if a genuine consortium takes over the club.
