Forster trades Pirates for Canaries

Following a successful spell in Brizzle with the Rovers, Fraser Forster was a much sought after loan signing when the renewal came up this week. However despite Paul Trollope's best efforts our third choice keeper has ended up over at Carrow Road following Paul Lambert's intervention. Trollope later revealed:

'We were in lengthy negotiations through Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning but, unfortunately, we couldn't come to a financial agreement with Newcastle as to how much of his wages we were prepared to pay.

Norwich came in at the last minute and were able to pay more, so and Fraser has gone on loan to Carrow Road. We are disappointed, because Lennie and I wanted him here. Fraser himself was very keen to extend his stay, and I know the players were happy to have him as well.'
