Barton to return on Monday

Following the tweak of the hamstring suffered by Jonas on Wednesday and Kazenga LuaLua`s less than convincing performance against the Terriers, it looks as if Chris Hughton has indicated a return in place of Spiderman for Joey Barton. Speaking ahead of the Leicester game, Coach Chris said:

'Joey will be fit for Leicester City. We haven't seen much of him this season, but with some of the problems we've had of late, it's always good to have somebody you can bring back in. There's no doubt Joey's a good player, and you'd rather have him in the squad.

What he's had is a period at this club where he's missed games through injury, and had to come back. With everything else that went on, it was a frustrating time for him. But all we can do is talk about now, and at this moment he's fit, and we are pleased to have him fit. He wants an opportunity to be on the football pitch.

Joey's always good around the place. Most people who witness how he behaves know that he's generally enthusiastic. He is sometimes over-enthusiastic, but that's something you have with Joey. He's always an enthusiastic trainer, but he's got the same characteristics as most players - he gets frustrated when things aren't going so well.'
