Icelandic defender lined up to replace Bassong
Newcastle United are ready to bid for Icelandic International Solvi Ottesen, according to Sky Sports News.
The 25-year-old currently place for Danish side SønderjyskE, and was previously linked with moves to Birmingham City, and Celtic.
Ottesen is thought to be a number of candidates lined-up by interim boss Chris Hughton for the new owners of the club, and if reports are to be believed, the Toon could have new owners by tomorrow morning.
