Newcastle sale to happen before 5pm today
Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has set a deadline for the club's sale to Barry Moat ending at 5pm today, reports The Times.
The news comes after The Daily Mail confirmed that Toon Managing Director Derek Llambias had made it clear to the newspaper that the sale was close to completion.
Toon fans will be relieved with the news, as Moat intends to install Alan Shearer as manager in the North-East club, and inject much needed funds for transfers.
The wait may finally be over for the Magpies who are desperate to get things moving, with just 10 days left until the transfer window slams shut.
