Duff goes Cottaging

As was widely expected, Damien Duff completed his 4m move to Fulham this lunchtime, taking a 30% wage cut in the process. Duff's exit is believed to have sent the wage bill to below 50m a year, giving Barclays renewed confidence that we will continue to remain solvent despite the Championship revenue hit.

I suspect you barcodes had no choice in the matter, what with the financial problems. And to be quite honest I don't think you ever really got the best from Duff. Canny Hodgson must know something because I didn't think the lad was up to the physical demands of the game in the Premiership after last season.

He's an enigma and Hodgson will be backed to get the best out of him. Not that he's got much left after the cruciate injury he got v Pompey.
