Beye Villa-bound?

Today's red tops are speculating that it will be Aston Villa, not Hull City, who seal a £3m move for Habib Beye. Given most Newcastle fans' loathing for the mackem muppet manager at the KC, this news comes as a pleasant surprise.

You may think that Brownie is a mackem muppet, but at least we know who our manager is and all our players don't want to jump ship. toon muppet.

Mate, if you actually seen him play, you would want him in your team. Quality player just a pity that the rest of the team did not play last season.

If Taylor is a good defender, bassong is worth £12m+ and we're buying Beye - then how come your defence was so 5hit last season?

Id prefer Nolan - good replacement for Barry.

leelindsay: you can have him if you want. Personally I dont rated him - no where near as strong or creative as Barry is.

Lee one word mate Collocini!!!!!

I doubt O'Neill will pay the wages some of your players are reputed to be on , that could be a stumbling block. As for replacing GB, Lee you really showed yourself up there mate! I'm honest enough to admit I don't know much about Beye or Bassong but I have heard they are highly rated?

The main reason our defence is crap is the midfield. Our midfielders are too slow, uncreative and as a result we we're caught on the break far too often (Duff, Nolan, Butt, Geremi etc). ashley didn't invest in a creative midfielder and is paying the price now as a result. The worrying thought is where would be be now if we'd kept Allerdyce on as manager?
