'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More 'fake Shiekh' patter

So another day and another corking leg-puller from The Sun. This time Fleet Street's finest have us in talks with Sirious Mahjoob, a man who when Googled seemingly doesn't exist. Probably because he doesn't. It just seems another chance for those 'crazy guys', probably Spurs fans, to have a laugh again at us poor, gullible Geordies. As the story goes though, the boy that cries 'wolf', or Keegan in our case, just isn't believed.

gary stevens
yep, another p*$$ take. I'd absolutely love it if Ashley bought Spurs :-D
geordie_mark
Ashley couldn't afford us Mark. Thats why he bought your joke of a club. Lovely away shirt btw. Point of Hugh hahahahaha
Mike_THFC
I have to disagree with you Mark even though I'm black and white through and through! I think Ashley should be banned from buying anymore clubs even though I hate many of them... especially cockney clubs like Tottenham. Mike_THFC - Thank you for taking the time to visit Newcastle forum, you must be interested in Newcastle to even think of visiting our forum... fact I would never visit THFC forum.

Perhaps if you could spell the guy's name correctly (It's Sirous, not Sirious), your google search would have yielded better than "no results". He's an Iranian businessman. You find him mentioned on sites such as arabianbusiness.com. Still, it's probably asking a lot. I suppose there aren't many clever Geordies around ;-)

gary stevens: The club (owner, director and advisors) is/are a laughing stock, I fully agree. But do you think the fans deserve what Ashley (lambias and Wise) have put us through? I hope that what Ashley's done to us never happens to another big football club again - and I'm not talking about relegation because that is probably the icing on the cake of the bad job Ashley has done; although the A word is floating around. Could Ashley possibly sink us any further that he already has?
geordie_mark
perspectivo: This could be because the arabianbusiness.com saw this in some scummy british tabloid. I've looked his name up on wikipedia and nothing comes up - if he is a somebody, he should have a wikipedia page. I think this is another SMB (Sunderland Message Board/Sad Mackem B*st*rd) wind-up.
geordie_mark
geordie_mark Don't be a d*ck. No, arabianbusiness did nothing of the sort. Wikipedia is written (and edited) by the people. Therefore it requires an individual to feel compelled to write about the person before he is on it. Which is why, like businessmen, there are countless footballers who aren't on wikipedia (at least not until someone can be bothered to add them). 1. Understand what wikipedia is, and great though it is in the main, it's limitations. 2. Read this. http://www.arabianbusiness.com/563375-exclusive-iranian-tycoon*-speaks-on-newcastle-utd-deal

I wasnt sure where to come to pay respects, but as a Spurs fan, and I'm sure everyone else agrees at a time like this, R.I.P Sir Bobby Robson. True gent and a legend...
bernio3000
Hi, Spurs fan here, Just heard Sir Bobby Robson has passed away. He was really a true gentleman and a fantastic servant to your club and to football. RIP.
ro6ertj
spurs fan here , football has lost a true legend, these are the times when football rivalrary must take a back seat. R.I.P sir bob
paddypower
Maybe the three site editors can get their act together and stop whining for a few minutes to do a proper tribute to a proper gentleman? Come on, you're letting everyone down.
Auckland Owl
Condolences on the passing of Sir Bobby. Great ambassador for the game, true gentleman and one great manager. Thank you for the memories sir! You will be missed!
marcspur
Sad to see Bobby go, he was almost universally loved and respected and rightfully so, tremendous personality and a massive loss for English football as a whole.
Osgood_Spirit
There's a tribute on the Spurs site - we all seem to want to pay our respects - perhaps you should have a look xpertweb.co.uk ? Not that I'm point scoring at a time like this, but I am amazed you guys don't have a thread up yet regarding this sad news. Every true football fan was also a fan of Sir Bobby.
