Tinderbox atmosphere claimed at training

In amongst claims of racism at the Galpharm, the People's latest 'inside news' from NUFC claims that it's all kicking off at the training ground at the moment. The paper quotes:

'There was more fighting involving Toon players at a training session this week as United staff become more frustrated with the problems facing the club.

A few mistimed tackles during a practice match are common at training-grounds but the tinderbox climate at Newcastle led to a punch-up as tempers soared.

The atmosphere was so ugly that stand-in boss Chris Hughton called a meeting afterwards. Hughton tried to read the riot act but backed down when Beye and midfielder Kevin Nolan strongly disagreed with what he was saying.'

Nice to see sterling strong leadership.

Chris Hughton will never be a manager...why have him now?? ...6-1 amazing result well done!

I never thought a team would be so worried about playing Leeds on Wednesday! Its funny how the toon fans have suddenly gone very quiet and aren't as cocky anymore!
Gromjo
...I certainly aint worried about playing Leeds, I think Newcastle have great potential under good management.

Definitely worried about the Leeds game - we're so gash the last thing we need is another ritual humiliation, especially not when you live and work in their city!
BaldEagle
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if you guys came out all guns blazing on wednesday looking to rectify your reputation...
Gromjo
Perhaps not. Maybe if we had Shearer and Ferdinand back up front together.
BaldEagle
Leeds 7 - Newcastle 1 (another Joey Barton penalty).
KatieDawson
How about an Alan Smith own goal? lol
Gromjo
Smith never scores. Except with Dido.
BaldEagle
If we don't win comfortably against Leeds we will have a real confidence melt down before the West Brom game. I am expecting the lowest attendance of all time against the Dirty Leeds!

Well coming off recent results we dominated Blackburn for 75 minutes and then they equalised in the last minute with a penalty and our 2nd team on the pitch... You on the other hand just lost 6-1 to a team who we beat 2-0 and 2-0 last season when we played them... Its fans like you sfosteruk who makes Newcastle almost as hated as us!
Gromjo
0-0 - says it all. Leeds looked seriously *****e mind, one Beckford shot was about all they offered.
BaldEagle
Quite true tbh...In fairness so did Newcastle though! For a team that is supposed to be of Premiership standard they were fairly average...Championship team at best and thats if you hold onto half of those players!
